4 June 2020
From January-April 2020, the production of pigs in agricultural organizations amounted to 1.5 million tons (live weight slaughter), which is 11.3% or 150,000 tons more than the same period last year.
The main growth was attributed to agricultural producers of Kursk, Tambov, Belgorod, Voronezh, Pskov, Orel regions, Republics of Bashkortostan and Mordovia.
The key factors that contributed to the positive development of pig production are the formation of a modern breeding base and the strengthening of veterinary supervision.
